Pilates Classes

We run a range of Pilates classes in Corsham Physiotherapy. Classes usually run during school term time and with a reduced timetable during any holiday periods. You are welcome to join general classes at any time, please book onto a class.

You can pay for classes individually or buy a 5 or 10 class pass at a discounted rate. With a class pass, one class is deducted each time you attend, so you won’t lose any classes if you are unable to come every week.

New to Pilates?

Our next 5-week Introduction to Pilates courses start in November 2026.

Perfect if you’re completely new to Pilates, returning after a break, or would like to build your confidence before joining one of our regular classes.

Over five progressive sessions, we’ll introduce the key principles of Pilates and a range of exercises, with plenty of guidance throughout.

Class Descriptions

Gentle Pilates:  We will work on your mobility, strength and balance using a mixture of standing and mat exercises at a slower pace than our general classes.  It is suitable for all who are looking to keep mobile and strong, aimed at Seniors but also for any age if you would prefer a gentler pace – including those with fibromyalgia, arthritis and osteoporosis.  Mats and equipment provided. For more detailed information about our Gentle Pilates class please click here or book onto the next class.

Pilates mixed level: Our classes will reinforce the principles of Pilates at a general/mixed level.   We will also use some of the small Pilates equipment each half term including balls, bands and magic circles for varied workouts each week.  Suitable for anyone who is looking to improve their posture, core strength & mobility.  Mats and equipment provided.

Chair Pilates: If you want to do some exercise, but feel getting down onto a mat is just out of reach, our seated Chair Pilates class may be for you.  We will work on your strength, mobility and balance whilst seated in a chair, or if you feel able, some exercises whilst standing in a 45 minute class.  All equipment provided. For more detailed information about our Chair Pilates class please click here

Pilates Introduction Basics 5 week course:   This progressive 5 week course ensures you start your Pilates journey safely and builds over the 5 weeks to prepare you for a general class.  We will underpin the principles and correct positioning whilst embarking on the first steps towards a better posture, flexibility & a stronger core.  Beginners may also consider individual sessions or you may jump straight into a general class.  For more detailed information about our introduction program please click here
