Class Descriptions

Senior Pilates:  We will work on your mobility, strength and balance using a mixture of standing and mat exercises.  This will be more ‘gentle’ than our general class and is suitable for all who are looking to keep mobile and strong, aimed at Seniors but also for any age including those with fibromyalgia, arthritis and osteoporosis.  Mats and equipment provided. For more detailed information about our Seniors Pilates class please click here

Pilates: Our classes will reinforce the principles of Pilates at a general/mixed level.   We will also use some of the small Pilates equipment each half term including balls, bands and magic circles.  Suitable for anyone who is looking to improve their posture, core strength & mobility.  Mats and equipment provided.

Pilates for Sport: Our lunchtime class continues to reinforce the basic principles of Pilates, but work at a slightly faster pace than the general classes, bringing in more intermediate moves with a bigger focus on core strength as well as mobility to compliment sports including running and cycling. We will also work with some of the small Pilates equipment including balls, bands and magic circles for varied Pilates workouts each week.  Mats and equipment provided.

Chair Pilates: For those who may struggle to exercise down on a mat.  We will work on your strength, mobility and balance whilst seated in a chair, or if you feel able, some exercises whilst standing in a 45 minute class.  Please note, our studio is on the first floor and so there is a flight of stairs to navigate. All equipment provided. For more detailed information about our Chair Pilates class please click here

Pilates Introduction Basics 5 week course:  Next course Wednesday 17th April 2024, 9.30am for 5 weeks.  Please contact us to register. If you have never done Pilates before and want to find out what it is all about, you can either join one of our general level classes or sign up to this 5 week introduction to Pilates.  We start right at the very beginning to ensure you start your Pilates journey safely and then build on these over the 5 weeks to prepare you for a general class.  We will underpin the principles and correct positioning whilst embarking on the first steps towards a better posture, flexibility & a stronger core.  For more detailed information about our introduction program please click here
